Tile Skills Needed
We’re excited that the Lake Darling Youth Center,home to Midwest Bible Camp,is the process of building a new Nurse’s Cabin where the old bathhouse used to be. We’ve had an offer to donate some ceramic tile for the flooring in the building,but installation of the tile wasn’t in the original project estimates or fundraising. I just thought I’d ask if there’s anyone experienced in laying tile that would be willing to donate their services to lay approximately 450 sq ft of tile. If this is something you’d be interested in helping with,please let me know.
Water in the Lake
One other camp FYI,a recent article in the Washington newspaper indicated that the lake at camp is currently scheduled to be refilled next spring. If there are no additional hold-ups,we’ll hopefully have the lake back for camp next summer.
Board Meeting
Finally,while I have your attention,don’t forget that the Annual Corporation Meeting for MWBC will be on Saturday,September 24th in Marshalltown at 10 AM. We’d love to have you join us to learn more about what’s going on at camp.
